good alarms out there

what are the good ones out there?

I want one that will help decrease the chance of my system getting ripped off and mostly importantly the car it self. I know if someone wants it bad enough they will take it but I would like to put up some kind of fight instead of just sitting back and watching. I also know that the install is the key to the alarm.

Where I live thieves target GM vehicles may because they are easy to steal especially the older models ( regals, caprices, Impalas, Monte Carlos, Cutless, Devillies, eldorados, Tahoes,

One of the best with a great price, Clifford Solaris. Price-no-option, the best out there is Clifford Avante Guarde 4.

I would say go with the auto page 750. Ive seen too many DEI products with the two way system come back..they ahve flaws. Esp the Viper 790. I just bought/installed a DEI hornet 554T with two-way paging and remote start on my saturn. I'm very pleased with not only the effectiveness of the alarm but the range of the remote.

I was inside the warehouse where I work on the complete other side of the property in relation to where my car was parked, and my alarm went off because the guy parked beside me slammed his door really hard (at least that was his story....i think he bumped into the car or hit it with his door....)

anyway, the remote pager unit started beeping and going nuts telling me that the shock sensor had been triggered and i was at least a third of a mile away inside a giant grocery warehouse. I never expected it to work from that range, but unless I have an unusually strong unit, they do have some pretty awesome range.
