I am replacing the speakers in my 2010 crown vic. I have previously had some infinity kappa 6x9s 2 ways in my old impala, I though they were very clear but a little too harsh on the high end for me, kind of brittle and just too bright with not enough low end kept the high pass filter around 100hz sometimes 63hz. I previously also had a 10" type x in the trunk with 750 watt alpine mono block which was stolen out of the impala, man did I love that sub.
So I heard some Focals in a friends car and I really liked them. From what I see they are a little out of my price range.
Looking at the Auditors though. Really considering the.m, anyone have experience?
My main thing is I have never had a problem with speakers not having enough treble, I am always dialing it down. I want something clear, on the warmer side that won't distort at higher volumes, I am eventually replacing the deck with something simple and won't be amping the speakers.
They are the only speakers in the car, (it doesn't have door speakers) which doesn't bother me just want to get a decent pair for the rear that won't be drowned out by a single 10" once I get one.
