Good 12" SQ Sub (please read, this isn't a repeat)

Hi, i currently have a 12"mtx4000 hooked up to 2 channels of a Profile CA440 (180rms bridged) So im looking for a new sub to replace my pretty bad mtx. What would be a good choice for around that power level? or if its absolutely necessary a new amp as well to match a sub better, in all honesty i dont want to turn heads, i just want a solid tight good sounding low end to compliment my highs. i've heard about Shivas? but they need lots of power right? what other ideas, thanks alot

shivas dont need lot of power to move you can get 2 of them and move them good with that amp

The Shiva will sound fine, but won't get exactly "loud" with 180W. Loud enough to compliment most music, however.

I don't know about you, but I'd like to push two 12's with a little more than 90W per driver.

You should be able to power one Shiva fairly well with 180 watts, a guy I know from my hometown is sponsored by Adire and he used to run Shiva's moderately powered and they sounded decent.

However, I would rather have an Edesigns 12k personally, I believe your Profile would give about half of it's rms number.
