but macs look cool and are shiny and white and all plasticy...that makes them immune to viruses!and skip the mac idea. if you are that worried about viruses and crashing on a pc then just run linux.
if the douche above had problems with a windows based pc it was probably user error. i havent had a crash or virus in years on my windows based computers and i dont run an anti virus or software firewall
i just built this for a friend...
rosewill case w/400 watts
dual core e5200
asus mobo
160gb drive
sony dvd/rw
4gb ddr2
22" viewsonic lcd
vista ultimate
office 2007
$380 total
BTW, you are going to need storage, not memory if you are mainly interested in movies. No need for anything more than onboard video so use the extra money on a few 1.5tb drives
how is that?that psu is gonna go up in smoke
My GF and I own 2 Macs and they have both had multiple failures ...IT'S A MAC dose not matter were you buy it it will not fail.
I have a macbook and I have been quite happy with the performance of it, but the chargers are absolutely horrid and the plastic around the keyboard is beginning to break off. I would expect for the little plastic pieces to fail eventually, but not after 9 months of use.My GF and I own 2 Macs and they have both had multiple failures ...
You, sir, are an idiot ...
and what if the battery fails? not like you can just buy a new one like a pc laptop. about the roswell comment they make cheap products no doubt about it cabale management is horrid motherboard trays arent removable (in all to my knowledge) psus dont put out rated power ever. just get a volt meter and check it. if he and you dont come close to using the power its rated at then i guess your fine. im use to people using core i7 cpus with tri sli or quad crossfire oced to the max.I have a macbook and I have been quite happy with the performance of it, but the chargers are absolutely horrid and the plastic around the keyboard is beginning to break off. well ya, i only use rosewill when it is a budget build for someone who will be using it to websurf, read email and occasionally listen to music or watch a movieand what if the battery fails? not like you can just buy a new one like a pc laptop. about the roswell comment they make cheap products no doubt about it cabale management is horrid motherboard trays arent removable (in all to my knowledge) psus dont put out rated power ever. just get a volt meter and check it. if he and you dont come close to using the power its rated at then i guess your fine. im use to people using core i7 cpus with tri sli or quad crossfire oced to the max.
