Had this forever and I've put off installing it long enough. But it's a ***** to get at my alternator on my car so I'm gonna have an audio shop do the dirty work. I didn't really think out a plan for a ride back home so I might just chill there, hopefully they got some hot receptionist I can make awkward attempts at hitting on.

OP, Take it to an auto shop, not an audio shop, it only costs me 40$ total to get an alt swapped out at the local Bauer Built. I can't imagine an audio install shop to do it for less than that.

what did they quote you? I agree, I think an auto mechanic will charge less than an audio shop

You havent seen an alt that a pita to work on unless you've wrenched on something with a ford duratec 2.5L or 3L
