god, i hate paypal

My buddy bought a laptop through on eBay and paid through PayPal. That was about 3 weeks ago, and he hasn't received it yet. He checked his PayPal account to see if it was shipped yet, but PayPal doesn't show any transaction being performed, and 'transferring' his funds. He paid with a debit card, and now he has to get a print out through his bank, to show his account was charged by PayPal. Then he has to send a signed copy from his bank, and then wait for PayPal to send the money to the seller. He can't fax any of the paperwork from the bank, so it's going to take forever. That's even if PayPal gives the money back.

Same thing happened to me last time I sold something on ebay.
Up until that listing. I always used the money recieved from the buyer to pay for shipping.

I had to delay shipping the item the guy won by about 1-2weeks because my paypal was empty and I had to transfer $$$ from my bank account into my paypal so I could ship the **** thing. Transfer took foreverrrrrrrr.

Was retarded. I dont see how it protects the buyer other than inconveniencing them.
Why would you need to transfer money from your bank account to your paypal to ship something? Just make a shipping account with your shipping company of choice and have them charge your bank account. Or just use the paypal shipping service's and have them pull it straight from your bank account.

paypal should be abolished and shut down IMO..........

Its an internet company run by kid's with little experience in

biz and law.......if u want to play god with peoples money atleast

have the experience.....I got stiffed twice on ebay by sellers who took my money an

It usually takes 24-48 hours after positive feedback is left for funds to be released.

To increase marketplace safety, we may hold payments that seem risky. Here are some common reasons for holding payments:
You have been an eBay member for less than 6 months, and you sell an item for more than $100, or

You have an eBay feedback score of less than 100, and you sell an item for more than $100, or

You have a Buyer dissatisfaction percentage** 5% or greater than 5%, or

You have an average Detailed Seller Rating (DSR) of less than 4.5, or

You have received fewer than 20 Detailed Seller Ratings in the last 12 months, or

You are listing your item in a high-risk category such as gift certificates, video games, cell phones, computers or consumer electronics.

Wow, Paypal finally comes around and starts to protect the buyers on eGay. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/clap.gif.178cba2c538c68e720c727fcb024b19c.gif
