GMC raido wiring hardness

my bros' friend wants to replace the factory radio of a 4door 2005 GMC Sierra 1500 cuz he's getting a system.

anyways i was looking at the crutchfield factory wiring hardnesses. and founded out that the hardness cost under $80 cuz it need a interface door chime something like that.

is there any way around this? is there another clip thats the same size but without the interface box, that would work but might involve same small customizing?

you need it, dont **** with that stuff.

take it to the dealer and have them install the aftermarket radio

the radio for the stock gmc is onstar inside, ****ing all kinds of shit in that radio...

not worth the hasle, you might as well arc his battery and pull all his fuses if you take that radio out

Definately take it to a shop unless your very familiar with GM and their Databus as well as OnStar systems.
