I got my 04 about a year ago, and i got some kind of Gm Loyalty discout, 4000 off MSRP, plus we used the ol trick, "Well this other dealership quoted me a lower price than that" So we ended up getting a brand new 04 chevy picup for around 15000

Im not sure about GM's employee discount, but my parents just purchased a 2005 Ford F-150 XLT, 6-cd changer, autmatic back window, keyless entry, the works. For around $29,000

we get Dodge through my work...and they quoted me an 'employee' price higher than I went online at Dodge.com and built one for...but I did look at a 2005 4 door Chevy Silverado, retail was $30,186 for $23,156...loaded...but if they don't dicker off that $23, no way....

hmm, i would definitely get teh Cobalt SS, Monte Carlo SS, Solstice.

Solstice was priced rediculously high only because it was exclusively featured on the Apprentice.

ya fords employee discount must me much better, a dude i know got about 2400 off a brand new saturn ion that was still 21,000 and in 03 my dad bought an 03 ford f-150 supercrew, every option possible except sunroof, for like also 29k and right after he went to a dealership to see how much he could get trade in and they offered him like 30,500 but it was his last discount he had for the year so he didnt sell it, he saved around 4,500

it is a scam. employees get way better discounts, i know a family who gets them dirt cheap and the dad who works for GM isn't even big dick status

you dont know what your talking about...my g/f works for gm and just bought a car...got the same deal as your or I.

its only for 05 models though, so chances are..the car you want will not be applicable.

In case alot of you people dont understand. Factory GM Workers, the people who put the **** cars together, this is the discount people are recieiving. People who work for dealerships do not get this discount. They usually get about a grand off new cars if that.

you dont know what your talking about either....

all the people in make-ready, the people that work in the buisness office, etc, etc ARE GM employees.

so basically, if you sell cars you dont get the discount...and the salemen dont equal up to any considerable amount of a percentage

Actually u dont know what your talking about. As a former Toyota employee, there are two separte discounts given. The dealership employee's get a shipping and handling fee waived. The people that work at the plants, and transport the Toyota's, get a very sizeable discount. Usually just the cost of the vehicle.

And why the fu(k does it matter, are you an internet nazi, it makes no difference if i post or not so stfu.

So because she bought the same car during the discount doesnt mean if she bought the vehicle 5 months ago she'd get that discount.

Ask your gf to ask if she would have bought it 5 months ago if she'd would've gotten the same discount. If so, good for that dealership, most likely thats not the answer though.
