Still learning...
im making new speaker baffels since the last ones i made, did not allow the plastic to meet the metal b/c the mdf was too think. I tried cutting but i could not get it low enough and water has since then gotten in the mdf has absorbed it well.
So having said this, i am now attempiting to use 1/2" (as opposed to 3/4") and then in order to get the clearance i need going to put the MDF rings on top of the speaker braket that is also made from 1/2" MDF.
My question is How should i put togeter the 2 pieces of mdf to ensure a secure and rattle free mounting. I bought screws and elmers wood glue... is that enough, or should i use something stronger?
Second question is, what can i put on the mdf to prevent it from absorbing moisture?
Below is a picture of what im trying to do.
The begining of it
thanks in advance for the help... i will post pics... just ordered some second skin damplifier... hoping to do that as well
