Maybe just maybe a handful of people who read my rants might actually spend the 10 minutes it takes to email their senator or representative and find out where they stand on issues. Particularly life changing ones. If they do not like where their senator or representitive is going on the subject they can let them know one way or the other. Between this climate bullshit and health care it will effect the way we live.

So far 4 years into the Kyoto Protocol in Europe ( their climate change/ cap and trade) some countries are actually talking about putting remote controls in people's homes to make sure their heat is not any higher or their air conditioning is not any lower than what the government wants it to be set at.

I hope you don't expect me to actually take these obscure websites and blogs seriously. They don't constitute as evidence for global warming being a hoax, and they certainly don't constitute evidence of some sort of socialist conspiracy. In fact, since you revealed this is the type of source material your relying on, i think your going to need to provide references for any future claims you make.

Since you obviously didn't take the time to read the links i provided, this is an excerpt from the first academic peer reviewed survey. (emphasis on it not being an assorted list on an obscure website of "scientists" (in which i would qualify as a "scientist" simply because i have a BS) who repudiate global warming)

1. When compared with pre-1800s levels, do you think that mean global temperatures have generally risen, fallen, or remained relatively constant?2. Do you think human activity is a significant contributing factor in changing mean global temperatures?

Of our survey participants, 90% were from U.S. institutions and 6% were from Canadian institutions; the remaining 4% were from institutions in 21 other nations. More than 90% of participants had Ph.D.s, and 7% had master’s degrees. With survey participants asked to select a single category, the most common areas of expertise reported were geochemistry (15.5%), geophysics (12%), and oceanography (10.5%). General geology, hydrology/hydrogeology, and paleontology each accounted for 5–7% of the total respondents. Approximately 5% of the respondents were climate scientists, and 8.5% of the respondents indicated that more than 50% of their peer-reviewed publications in the past 5 years have been on the subject of climate change. After the real facts were in it was discovered it was the 74th coldest October in 114 years. He used Semptember data as October and his "excuse" was to blame people who gather the data. If you can't trust the sources of your data how can one make such claims? I don't know about "global warming people" but researchers have the actual scientific debates in universities, at academic conferences, and in the peer reviewed literature. I don't know anything about James Hansen, and I don't really care. Your anecdotes about this one man along with Al Gore are extremely irrelevant in the face of a well accepted climatological theory and, I think, demonstrate a pretty bad case of confirmation bias on your part.
