Give me Your Much Needed Opinions on This Setup

Ok guys, It's a few weeks before I buy all the stuff for my beginner/entry system in my 98altima since the **** i got in it now is blown and not cutting it. Here are my two options and I want to know what you guys think.

Option 1:

Reciever-

Clarion CZ500-$128

Speaker-

CTX65CS - Image Dynamics 6.5" Component Speaker System-$135

Woofer-

SSA Shop - SSA Dcon 12D4 subwoofer300rms

12" SSA DCON 12D4/S4-$125

Amp-

Audio Savings | CADENCE F600-4 1400 WATT 4-CHANNEL CAR AMPLIFIER NEW

Cadence F600-4 1400 Watt 4 Channel High Power Car Amplifier-$130

Now that is what i've come up with using the site and a lot of research/ your guys' input. The total comes out to like 520$ but thats excluding wires and making a box for the sub. I don't want to go any more expensive than this, so please don't tell me to get more expensive ****, if anything opinions on cheaper stuff that will be not as loud but just as clear is most welcome. Option 2 is with some insight from my friend who has some car experience.

Option 2:

Reciever:

cheaper head unit with a usb because I just want a good headunit for ipod playing.

Speakers:

he doesn't think option 1s are the best for the $.

So do what do you guys think. Is that a great deal for the sub/amp which includes(he said) all the wiring for the whole and a box. My limit is 600$ for everything so be critical and give me other options if you think theres better stuff.

That Kicker sub will sound horrible. The Dcon will crap all over it.

do you think all the wiring+ box will come out to the same price as the bundle

the kicker wont sound horrible but there are better options out there. those cvr's are known to get loud but they are a lower end sub. also let me ask you this. what amp will you be powering the sub with?

hey you guys think the receiver is a little over the top and i should get a cheaper one, if i'm just looking for a ipod plug in. Sorry for all the questions- just that kind of guy, it'll take me 45min to figure out what to order on a pizza menu so a car system will take a few weeks of questions haha my bad i just love input

Well, yeah. I shouldn't have said it will sound "horrible", but he wants clarity which Kicker themselves don't even claim to have. I'm not trying to bash Kicker, but they're definitely more of an SPL sub.

I don't know about the amps, but about the head unit -- If there's a Clarion that's similar to that without Bluetooth, I'm sure it'll be cheaper. The specs are kind of nice for the price. I definitely don't think you should skimp more on the head unit than you already are. And I think you should use the 4 channel Cadence, so you can use the first two channels for the ID speakers, and then the last two for the sub. I think Cadence in general is supposed to be good for the price, so I wouldn't think you'll find any amps better for that price.

I think your first setup is definitely a great starter setup, and I think you'll be more than satisfied for now with that.
