A 60-year-old man suffered serious stab wounds and likely lost his right eye after he turned down a proposition for *** from another man, according to Richmond County Sgt. Robbie Silas.
The attack happened around 3 p.m. this afternoon on the abandoned grounds of Augusta Golf Hall of Fame and Botanical Gardens on Reynolds. The victim, David Lewis, met his assailant under a nearby bridge and the two homeless men planned to find drugs, Silas said.
The unnamed attacker wanted to have *** with Lewis and when Lewis refused he was stabbed in the back, his arm and face, said Silas, who classified Lewis’ condition as stable.
