Today sucks, me and my girlfriend of 2 1\2 years decieded it would be best if we didnt see each other anymore. We were both looking foward to the summer and her being home from school finally, but as it turns out shes going to have to be at school for almost the whole summer anyway, which was the only time we did get to be together between our busy schedules and such plus the fact that she goes away to school ( although not too far away) and is really involved in it and stuff. This really sucks.

Thanks man, well we both go to college, she goes away to St. Johns and i go to a community college near my house, Shes really involved in school and I'm usually the one that gets the short end of the stick because of it, I knew it was going to happen though and accepted it because I love this girl more than anything, we couldnt wait till the summer though because she would be home for most of it, but then she found out she would have to be there for a bulk of it now. There a lot more but i have to go to work now before iam late once again and ill finish it later.

hay, you know what they say true love can wait. and just think. U may see less of her now but in the long run you may be able to see more of her when you both have jobs. Sounds odd but my parents didn't go to school now they just argue about were their going to get money from. And both work 2 or more jobs to pay bills. Not what u want to happen is it. Just wait go through college and get good jobs. It will be well werth it.

It's been my experience that the good majority of people change after the College life.....and after being apart for such a long time, things may seem incredibly different than they used to be......instead of feeling sad over the situation, be happy that both of you are progressing in life and are becoming succesful adults. After all, true love is putting the other persons happiness ahead of yours....if it was really meant to be, things will work out in the end. And if they don't, be thankful for the memories you two have together, and I'm sure both of you have learned a lot from one another, so you have to be happy about that. The best advice I can give is not to feel depressed and full of self-pity....I went through the same thing my first year of College...when we both came back for the Summer, it was supposed to be the "best Summer ever", but things just felt akward. Both of us changed a lot during College, and things just didn't work out. I had to take what I learned in the relationship to make the next one better. It hurt like hell for a long time, but you learn to grow past it, and when you do, life will be better than it was before.
