well im about 3 hours away for now but will be transfering after the school year to be closer. She will prob be coming to the same school as me.

Transferring schools to be closer to a girl is the dumbest thing you could ever do. Unless that school is better for what you're doing, that's a dumbass move.

You have to remember that this is just a high school girlfriend. Your relationship hasn't been tested by the pressures of real life. Unless you both happen to go to the same school because it's the right school for what you want to do, you should break it off. Keep in contact, remain friends, and you guys can pick up again when you're done with school if it's really meant to be.

soccer career? you moving to europe after school cause if you havent noticed the best soccer star in the world couldnt make soccer any more popular in the US haha.

unless ur shooting to be a field goal kicker in the NFL then i say good move haha

I really dont plan on playing in the pros but want to be in my home state to give me the best oppurtunity for school. The school that im at now isnt my first choice and never was but i got screwed somewhere else and now i want to go to my first option.

There are millions of mexicans in this country. Besides, there are a ton of sports nobody watches that still make money. Like 99% of the sports in the Olympics.

Well as long as she goes to that school for the right reasons, you might as well try to keep it going. Just make sure neither of you compromise your futures in order to stay close.

honestly there are so many ugly girls here haha and i would never cheat on my girl i have to much respect for her and i would never want her to do that to me. Getting girls is the last thing on my mind right now.

yep, my best friend went all over the world for soccer as well. played on 2 junior olympic teams that went to france to play as well as had a tryout with the US olympic team.

instead he did kinda what you did. he turned down a partial scholarship to Ohio State to be a kicker ( woulda been on the 02 team that won the national championship) and he took a soccer scholarship at a local school to be with his girl. after a year the girl dumped him, and he quit playing soccer. still got his degree but now hes a dept manager at sears......

besides, read my first post, the second one was more meant as a joke, well kinda. if you have a scholarship to play soccer by all means thats awesome. when i was in college i woulda played anything if they woulda given me a free education for it.

i more meant how the league itself makes money. i never see them on tv and last i heard they still couldnt sell tickets to games. you heard about beckam on sportscenter for like a month, then you never heard his or the leagues name again. the NHL came close to folding so i cant believe MLS can be doing much better.

its actually suprising that the mls is going to be expanding. There are people that are putting stadiums in cities now that should bring more popularity to it and make more money. Its all about investors in that leauge and more people will be putting money into.

The MLS isn't US-only is it? If not, this is probably the only country they have trouble selling tickets in. And like I said, tennis, bowling, etc all make money and no one can name more than one or two players in those kind of sports.
