They sacrificed people in the old Indiana Jones movies, remember that? It all goes back to the representation of human life and what it is worth. Maybe this little girl didn't want her 4'10" frame to be squished into 1/18th of the size of a marble. Ever think of that? The molecular reactions of this "experiment" are far too advanced for any "scientist" to comprehend what could happen!
