GF Stereo System Question??

Hi Guys,

Im new here. Well i need some direction or help.

Well the issue with my gf car is that i spent a bunch of money to get her a new deck for her car to replace her factory deck and i put new speakers in her car. She owns a 99 Kia Sephia.

So i bought a Pioneer DEH-P2900MP from circuit city and had them install it for free. So with that installed i decided to buy some new speakers since the factory ones were going out. SO i bought (4) pioneer speakers to fit the front doors and the rear top deck, I think it was like 5.25" in the front and 4"x6" in the back, but these were decent speakers like 4-channels if i remember right.

Well after everything installed and listening to it and trying to get the settings right im noticing that the sound just isnt sounding right. Its like everything is flat. Like no bass or nothing very dry if i must say, like not much bass from the speakers mostly vocal and some bass. Now im thinking either circuit city did something wrong or i may need to buy a 4 channel amp for the spearkers or just put a small subwoofer in the trunk to add that extra bass to the sound.

Please help, im really getting frustrated with this. THanks

If you think that decent speakers are determined by how many channels they have, then I don't think you should mess with electrical equipment.

Unless you meant 4-ways, in which case......

how many channels a speaker has and how many "ways" it is are the same thing unless you can think of an alternate way of describing a "channel" that I'm just not getting, at least in this scenario.
