So .. one day my gf decided to lie to me about going shopping with her mom in order to see one of my friends of close to 10yrs ... just yesterday she broke things off with me saying i treat her like a daughter ... wtf is that shit .. anyway long story short .. i lost one of my bestfriends, a girlfriend, and my dignity .. keep your chin up, you still have your dignity, you have lost your girlfriend, I don't think she was worth it if she would do this to you, and as far as your best friend, you need to pick friends more wisely. This guy is the lowest of the low, and I would say to you that he was never a true friend. I think you have truely lost nothing except some sleep, and gained some clarity, you are fortunate to find out about both of these people earlier rether than later.

The only reason you feel bad is because of adverse selection. In the future, you can mitigate this risk with the assumption that all women are cheaters. If they don't cheat, you are good. If they do cheat, well, you already expect them to so it's no big deal.
