Getting to know my Threatcon 4 12

I've had my Threatcon 4 for a few weeks now and I'm really starting to warm up to it. The first enclosure I tried/build was an epic failure. I've learned that I really shouldn't try to build an enclosure any more complicated than a square when I'm not fresh and rested. I ordered a prefab ported box that's tuned to about 36. I've been taking it pretty easy with the volume knob and opened it up a quite a bit today with Crystal Waters and Nine Inch Nails. I enjoyed it a lot-though I suspect my neighbors didn't. I'm not sure if I'm going to keep the prefab or try to integrate a sealed box solution that fires in to the cabin-either way I think I'll hang on to this sub for a bit.

put it in a nice custom ported box and you'll warm up to it a lot more. i had a pair of kicke cvxs in a prefab tuned to 35, i put them in a custom box and never used a prefab again.

Ya man. A custom built box for that woofer will really make it shine.
