I have been trying every way in the world to get some music on to my xbox1 but everytime I try, I fail...

I put a burnt CD in and it wont read it, even tho all the other players read it, the music is legit cuz I ripped it from the CD myself along time ago. So I buy this Xbox Music Mixer game cuz you are supposed to be able to do PC to xbox file transfer, yet everytime I select the mp3 I want to transfer it says 'Invalid media selected'

I know the mp3's are not protected, most of them are my songs my cousin's so I know those aren't copyrighted cuz he is underground...

**** M$

Unless its soft/hardmodded, its pointless anyway on a regular xbox, I don't even know of any games that support playing your music.

Try a real cd (bought, not burnt)

I have a brand new Samsung drive i just put in it so its supposed to read the most.

My friend has the same drive as me, and he is able to play burnt cd's and has several songs on his hdd.

Mine will play regular cd's but not the burnt ones.

I had found the same thing and ended up only being able to use store bought CD's in the Xbox, spent like 4 hours uploading music onto it one night, took FOREVER to copy over one disc. I wonder if you could get a USB to memory card reader and put the mp3's on the memory card and then upload it to the Xbox that way. Something like this here http://www.amazon.com/Xbox-Gameshark-Gamesaves/dp/B000F97AKO/ref=pd_sim_vg_shvl_img_6/103-8608063-3815807 I remember one of my roomates a while back had a modded Xbox and had a PC USB to Xbox Memory card cable and used it to softmod the Xbox.

Just a thought, good luck.

If i could softmod mine then I could FTP to it with my crossover cable, but I don't have action replay

My friend brought his old xbox down here today, and it has a Phillips drive in it and it was able to read every audio cd I put in it, yet when I try to put them in mine nothing... It says disc may be damaged or dirty. I put in the old Thompson drive I had that is messed up and it would read the CD-RW with songs on it. I think the drive is defective. I sent an email to the company I bought it from 3Btech.net since it supposed to have a 90 day warranty

Just return that new drive and spend the extra few bucks on a big HD and a solderless mod chip. Takes two seconds and you can load all the media you want onto it, plus get free games and emulation.

to play the stuff burn the cd as a data cd. should work like a charm, or better yet, if your 360 is hooked up to your home network just stream the music using windows media connect.
Don't need windows media or a 360 to get music from your computer to home theater.

Stupid xbox marketing BS, OOOOO stream music over your network with the 360 and a PC
