Not sure if any of you guys are into Finch, or if there has been a thread about this already but they are 'reuniting'.

Im pretty stoked, and hope they come out with a new album in the future, like their 'What it is to Burn' cd.

Their show on the 23rd is in Pomona CA, a bit far away for me to go to, but hopefully there will be more shows in the future!

i had no idea they had broken up.

but i would not hold my breath to see another album similar to what it is to burn... that wasnt their album, it was the record labels album. if you have listened to any of their other stuff, you will know what i mean.

i loved what it is to burn, and it took me a little while to get into say hello to sunshine, but the two albums are vatly different. and say hello to sunshine is more in stride with the type of music the band creates.

I dont understand how that is Finch? What it is to Burn came out 3 years before Sunshine, and as far as I know, Falling into Place is the only other CD they have released. Which contains 2 songs that are on What it is to Burn.

I have seen Finch 3 times, and they have played all of the songs on their cds, and some 'demo' songs they were messing around with. They followed the tone of What it is to Burn, not Sunshine. Sunshine is just too laid back for me I guess. From what Ive read, most Finch fans think the same way...

say hello to sunshine is laid back? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif lol. if anything i think sunshine is harsher.

falling into place was an EP they released prior to what it is to burn. then when they got signed they were pressured into writing songs in the style that the producers wanted, and the results were the songs of what it is to burn.

but if you listen to their singles and say hello (which was written without any producers persuasion) it is more along what the bands style was. at least thats the way i have always understood it to be.

when i first heard their single on underworld soundtrack, i was like wtf? and like i said, say hello took me a while to get into it, but i really believe that is more along the bands style. i like both of their albums, but i wouldnt ever expect them to come out with something along the lines of what it is to burn again.
