obviously you and the poster after you don't pay much attention to symbolism or what it means. i got chinese character's as i liked the way they look, and feel the chinese are about the most devoted people with faith and belief in the world, all be it might not be what i believe but still is. i also liked the way they looked and studied the character's before deciding so i didn't end up with something saying "love's penis" lol. a gothic cross vs. chinese letters is apple's to orange's moron, lettering is just text it has no meaning behind it other than what the words stand for. A gothic/pagen/celtic cross on the other hand denotes those religous beliefs.
