Get loud!

I would like to maybe do a two-way active set up in the front with a four channel, I have a diamond d6700.4 as well. I would like two 10's in a ported box with a mono amp. Need a good reputable box builder too. Iwould like to fabricate some new tweeter pods somewhere, just not sure where yet. The factory tweets are on the dash firing right into the glass. Need some more ideas for my loudness.

Just how loud do you want to get though?

I went through the same thing, first I thought I wanted 10's, then I wanted 12's, and I ended up going for a big 15 running 1000w + RMS

For two 10's or two 12's ported, the Sundown SA-10's and SA-12's.

lulz says the guy with an advertisement in his sig.... where is your vendor membership????
That signature has been there for a long while. Wayyyyy before there was "vendor" memberships. Just like I was told this username is legal for me since my last username was banned for "no apparent reason" by johnny law.lulz

but thanks for pointing out the obvious and looking like a fool in the process.

Actually, he is correct. There is no such thing as grandfathering in signature advertising. Please remove the advertisement from your sig. If you want to discuss this further, you can PM me about it, lets get this thread back on topic. Thank you.

Yes, I have the 900.6 plus a 3Sixty.2.
Awesome... Now when you say get "loud", what are you comparing too? Loud as in subwoofer bass or vocals?

What does your friends have, that you consider loud?

How much room are you willing to give?

How much $$$ are you working with?

If it's subwoofer bass, then you need two-four 12" efficient woofers to utilize the 900.6 amplifier. (depending on room your willing to give). These will need a custom box built to their specs & tuned to the right freq.

I really think that my front stage needs more umph, so more vocals. Just basically think it's time to upgrade to something louder in all aspects. I would be willing to take up the third row seating area for a box if need be.

You can upgrade without spending much by localizing your fronts as well. Position them with more directivity to the listening position of choice, and that will help quite a bit already. As far as the enclosure for sub use, any one of us here can do that for you, just ask. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif You can PM me if your interested in a sub enclosure upgrade.

Your amp does 60x4 at 4ohms. Plus 550wrms (channels 5-6) for subwoofer...

So run ALL 4 channels to your front components. You can either bi-amp them or bridge them on your amp. Just make sure you hook up the RCA properly to insure left-right separation.
