GERMANIUMS vs SEAS LOTUS PERFORMANCE

I wouldnt put a Lotus woofer on another company's passive. They require a specific notch filter to tame their cone breakup.
The performance woofer isn't a metal cone, so it probably doesn't have a notch filter in the crossover. Regardless, mixing crossovers is stupid.

I would certainly disagree with the assessment on the Performance. In many ways I found them to be easier to use than the Refs. Much more efficient. Midrange is certainly good, but not as good as the Refs. Still have not heard a 6.5" mid with as good of midbass as either set of Lotus.

I second that chadillac. I can't count how many sets of speakers I've tried and the Seas performance rock when it comes to midbass/midrange. I have a set installed in my car and I was trying to decide if I should try the Germaniums in my wife's new car...I think I'll just get another set of the Performance.
