Germanium Question

Thinking about changing it up a little. What do you ya'll think is better, upgrading to the 465.25 and build kick panels. Or keep the 2-way and go active. I have the equipment and power to go either way, any input?

If your goal is to get louder, sure two more divers will get you there. Going active on that set wont make as notable difference in output, passive is pretty flexible as is.

Preciate the input, I think I am going to get 2 more drivers, maybe glassed in the doors //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif. I still got to finish sealing up my doors though, **** bose amps leave giant holes in the door.

The best way to pull off dual midbasses covering common range is having them in array side by side.

From my recollection of using a 2x2 Kickbass set, the the extra woofers you add are band limited to the 80hz-220hz region piggy backing the other midbass and rolling off. So i believe both drivers do not play up to the tweet, but just the original mid. I could be wrong, and the Germ set does it differently- but thats how the Professional line 2x2 Kickbass set operated.

Appreciate the info! I think it may be different than those, since the Germanium is not a kick bass (at least I don't think). My manual that came with the Germs for the 465.25 shows just hooking each mid-bass up to the mid-bass output. I have 320watts perside so power isn't an issue //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif.

sup 727.

Alright now i am going to order the profi vandium kicks in a couple weeks and I like the idea of having more mids. Iwas looking and the profi vandiums don't have a double woofer setup. But they do have the 3 way set up with a 4 inch speaker what in the regular comp set. Will that 4 inch make a big difference? I want this set up loud. I just ordered 2 fully loaded 15" bls and I want to be able to hear my front stage screamin over the bass. I might even order some extra tweeters and put them outside the car. But the question is Is that 4 inch speaker in the threeway system worth the extra 200. Will this set up be louder than the double woofer germs?
