Yah, I got my stereo insured for $30 a year and I don't even have an alarm... I figured I'd call today because when I got home last night the cops where there talking to some neighbors because someone had tried to get into a car and it's alarm went off.. they jetted but you can see my IDW's in the rear window and I don't have an alarm //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif... anyways geico will fork over some cash if they get stolen... now if only i had the cash to get an alarm installed....

how much are they gonna insure you for? did they give you options like say

10$ a year for 1000$ coverage

20$ a year for 2000$ coverage

i used to have aig and bristol west neither would insure anything other then the truck and someone on carsound said state farm does went over their and they said they did switched to them. and the insurance lady told me if its bolted down and you have pictures of it then its insured. and she went to take pictures but said if i change something to take pictures. and when she was walking to the truck she said is it a nice stereo how much was it 1000$? and i said alot more then that and she said dont worry about it still covered //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

With my install facing the cab, and visible from the windows, I would like to get insurance on mine. The only things that could come out from the cab are the subs themselves, and the head unit, but still, thats about 500 dollars worth of stuff.

I said it was worth $1500, which is fairly accurate considering replacement value... but I'm going to get paperwork in the mail and we'll see when that happens

yea when i get a new car after i get out of the service i plan on putting on some of that ace window break laminate stuff and getting it insured.

good stuff tho.

I will prob switch to another woofer as well... I would like to do a down diring box so it's more of a stealth look... maybe 1 brahma or an IDMAX...

not bad for 30$ a year my girl pays 87$ a month or so for comprehensive and collisions and liability for the explorer and it includes the audio and rims with 0$ deductible. but my bro pays 120$ a month just for liability with them i guess it depends on alot of stuff.

I pay about 100/month with $500 deductible for full coverage + covering my audio

Insurance on my car system is definetly something I am going to look into now. I didn't realize that you could get it for that cheap covered up to that much. I have been heavily contemplating this. I have Geico and I did the quote online and it would be about $79.20 per year to insure my audio at a value of ~$2500.

but they told me i need invioces/reciepts for all of it or they wont cover it.

which is ghey because i have bought almost all of it from other people.

i wonder if there is a way to get around that?

maybe write up a bill of sale for the item and get the other person to sign it?

I said the same thing and mentioned I might be able to get my paypal history... the person went ahead and set it up and I'll get paperwork in 6-10 days.... when I get the paper work I'll get it figured out...
