gas drops again

I'm paying $3.79 for regular. Sure is great that it's going down, less than a month ago regular was about $4.19.

The oil companies have gas stations by the balls. 2 years ago an average gas station in Western Washington made 3-4 cents a gallon profit... That can't even pay for bills.... So he was not lying and your instinct is wrong.
Ask me how I know.

So explain to me how a gas station only makes 3-4 cents a gallon profit when they raise the price 15 cents on gas they already have in their tanks?

I can understand raising the price when they purchase NEW fuel at a higher cost, but they raise the price before that even happens and therefore are making a higher profit. It's a preemptive price hike.

Thats like me saying I'll sell you a sub right now for $100 that costs me $60, but since i'm getting new subs in 3 days that will cost me $70, I'm gonna charge you $120 1 day later for the subs I already have.

I'm not trying to be a d*ck or anything as it's pretty obvious you have some gas station experience based off the comments you made. Please explain to me how that works so I understand everything fully. Gas stations can charge whatever they want, no argument there. It's very surprising to me that gas stations would only want to make 3-4 cents profit on a gallon of gas.

We're gettin $3.65 for regular right now...thank god it isnt like $4 again...but still needs to drop some..

I believe the numbers that are listed is GROSS income, not net. Don't know for sure though.

They announced record PROFITS to their shareholders.

once again i dont understand gas has gone down 10$/a barrel from 125 to 115 and at 125 the closest gas station was at 3.95

yesterday it rose to 4.05 then settling in the evening to 3.99$ still pisses me off when i know they can sell it for 3.65 as in kentucky seems like .40 cents profit a gallon

unless im forgetting some sort of tax shit but as i remember tax is already included in that

$3.39 for 87 and 89 (with ethenol), $3.49 for 91 and $4.13 for diesel, although the cheapest place after sams is $3.52. Diesel has dropped ~60 cents in two weeks here. every time gas drops 5 cents it seems diesel has by about 15 here.
