Man - I get into it all the time in my hood. "what you is" - "thoe down the fork" - "crack the crown" - all that sh*t.
next time just say f*ck the bull sh*t - believe me they have nothin better to do than to pick on someone they know isn't in a gang. Of course guys always gonna try to prove they ain't no punk or nothin - but again, f*ck the bull sh*t - it's a matter of life and death. I aint' tryin to sound corny or nothin but yo, you'll need no gun - but hey do what you wanna do.

all yeah, most times if they haven't already shown it to you, they just fakin.

not to mention my favorite music is gangsta. I ain't talkin bout that nwa-type gangsta but that adrenaline rush twista-type gangsta...lol

maybe it is harder for you - being white and wearing an allen-ive jacket - than it is for me...lol

That's the thing, My brother and I were going to take them and these short small guys didn't back down. Then under the street light one of the two guys grabbed the gun handle out of his belt and when we saw that we took off in a dead sprint. I'm dead serious when I say that I was waiting to hear the shot and feel the bullet in my back. My cousin I just found out got the crap knocked out of him by what I believe to be the same group of guys, but they didn't pull the gun on him. I thinks it because we didn't show fear we wanted to beat them up because we think their the group that has been stealing car stereos in the area.

its probly cause they were to afraid to shoot them. I grew up in a neighbor hood with gangsters and have had guns pulled on me. If u act like ur afraid, of course there gonna shoot ur *** or woop ur ***. Stand up and dont be afraid. The only time i ran from them is when like 30 of them ran out of a house after me and my friend for no reason. this reminds me when i was with my cousin in his integra and he had a loud *** system, and we were playing hard core rock and these gangsta's pull up bumpin and ours was way louder, and they got pissed and raised a gun and rolled the window down, and we took the **** off and they tried to chase us but we were faster

You can get a consealed wepons permit in cali, but you are going to have to go through a lot to prove you need one and you are not the problem. chasing people down the street wont be the way to do it.

I live in a very nice place and work in a very nice city. I own a tattoo shop, and people bring guns in there all the time. I carry one myself as it is my place of bussness and can do that. I dont act hard, but I wont back down either. I tell all that come in with guns that they have to get rid of them and that they cant carry in their. This is my place not their. I been there for ten years, and have seen hundreads of guns, and only one time did someone pull a gun on me. All I did was pull my shirt back a little and they back down.

Remember one thing:

everyone wants to be a god

but no one wants to die.

Be cool when you stand up for yourself. meaning treat them like you would your dog. and never start something.

I have to cater to all walks of life and I will at times have 4 or 5 different gangs in my place at one time. But like I said this is my place and you all will respect me and treat my house the way I want. I will say I do get scared but I will not back down. I do get alot of respect now and thats the way I like it.

These guys were in a gang. So why would they carry a gun with no bullets around an area that has gangs that do have guns with bullets? Oh by the way, news flash. It turns out that this particular gang live right across the freeway from me, about .5 to 1 mile someone I had told about the incident knows some people in that area. Originally they weren't planning to shoot me they were just planning on beating me up. BUt if I would have fought back one of the guys would have pulled out the gun and hit me over the head with it. Then again if they were carrying a gun they probably had a small knife too. But where the situation got a little hotter was when my brother came because he heard them in the background when I called him on my cell phone.

So they pull a gun on me and your saying that I shouldn't act afraid. They pull a gun and I continue approaching them and you think they're going to run or leave me alone? I don't know what kind of gangs you have around your house but if they pull a gun when you're getting ready to fight them I'd say they're going to use it, if you continue to approach them because realistically in a fist fight they had no chance.

I didn't try to start anything they tried coming after me from behind. I got them to leave me alone when they asked me where I live and I said right at this house. But my brother heard them saying a whole bunch of stuff in spanish cussing at me asking where I was from I realized they were gang members when they were pulling at my red clothing that I was wearing. At that point I knew these guys had weapons. My brother ran from his house and arrived as they were leaving me alone and then they got aggressive again. But what was my brother supposed to do leave me alone with a group of gangsters and just assume that I would be okay.

This is the way I see it. Once my brother arrived and we were going to fight they pulled the gun. Now if I was them I'd be more likely to shoot someone if they continue at me after I grab for it. If the person runs away I don't really have a need to shoot them.

I don't think playing tuff in front of a loaded gun would be a wise decission either. By that point you are already infront of someone who doesn't care how tuff you are or think you are. He has the gun and no one will ever know or care if you stood your ground in the face of danger if your dead. I'll take a bullet in the *** running away to a bullet in the head any day. Being hard is fleeting anyway and it is basically the ability to weigh your options and decide you have nothing to loose from pulling the trigger. No one will care if I faced down a gun 5 years from now just that I am here. I am not going to end up another statisctic either. Trying to prove to some idiot with a gun that I am either hard or just stupid for standing there.

I don't think that getting a gun is a good idea for you also. You could get it used against you. It would only take someone to get wind that you are strapped and then guess what. Free Gun! You might even reach your own end with your chosen piece of protection.

Best thing you said was to just do what you have to do until you get out. I just think that having a gun in that situation will cause more problems than it solves. While my advice may not be what you want to hear it does come from experience.

Yeah I have decided at this point against getting a gun. It was just after that happened in my head I fealt like I wasn't safe at all. Fortunately I haven't seen those guys again, but then again I'm house sitting for a relative that lives in a nice quiet area, where it's easy to sleep at night.

Boy what an exciting night. I almost got shot within a 1/4 mile of my house tonight. Remember how i said some guys stole my brothers stereo. Well I was walking home alone at 12:00Am tonight and I saw 4 guys. When they saw me the lead two guys that were about 30 feet in front of the rear two spead up. So I thought that seemed suspicious. I thought the front two were going to cross the street and mess with me. Then they turned down a street and so I called my brother to say I saw some suspicious guys in the neighborhood. Well I decide to turn around and see if they went into a house down that street or if they just continued walking down the street. But when I looked down the street I didn't see them anymore, so I figured they must have gone into a house. I continue back on my previous path and out of the corner of my eye I see two guys come up on me when I was on the phone talking to my brother. They start speaking a whole bunch of spanish that I couldn't understand and they said what I wanted or what I claim. I told them I don't claim anything. They pull on my allen iverson jacket which is black and red and then they pull on my fleece underneath which is red. They're pissed. They asked where I lived and continued talking in spanish to me as if I knew spanish. I pointed to a house that was about two houses away from me because I figured if I told them my house was a few blocks away they were going to stab me or shoot me on the spot. I raised my hands and said I was cool and didn't want any trouble. ONe of the guys talked to his buddy in spanish and then they back away and started walking the other direction. My brother heard them over the phone ask what I claimed so he came running from his house. As they leave me I hear him yelling from the other direction and I didn't want him to be alone so I headed back. At this point he is really pissed because he thinks it's the same guys that were stealing the stereos in our areas the last few weeks. Well I asked him are we going to fight them? He said yes so I got ready. He said walk this way so we started walking towards my house. I said are we going to go to my house he said yes. Well When he started yelling at them and said go these two short guys acted like tthey were going to take me and my brother on which is strange because we are big and they weren't. Well my brother saw one of them reach in their belt and grab the handle of something and that's when we started sprinting down the street. We called 911 and told them of the situation and ofcourse as we are being chased with these guys with guns they put us on hold. We look back and the guys disappear. We head back towards his house and there they are in a car and one of the guys gets out of the car so we hide behind vehicles because we didnt want to get shot. We wanted to prevent them from leaving so we tried to stay close to them and keep them there until the police got there. Well we saw a car flying at us and we sprinted again and hid behind some more cars in a drive way we thought they had us pinned in. Luckily this car that was flying at us was a police car. The guys didn't get caught the police didn't fill out a report on it and it seemed like they really didn't care about the situation they said next time let them handle it and don't risk taking a bullet for it. Well they obviously were unable to catch the guys. Now I want to carry a gun with me because they know the area I live in and they could come back after me. The only thing I thank those gangsters and God for is the fact that they didn't shoot me or my brother in the back when we were running away from them. I hate the gutter I live in. I need to move to a more middle class area where gangs aren't all around you. All I've heard my whole life growing up is women screaming help me in the streets, he's got a gun, drug sales, a guy getting shot by playing a russian rulet game with his friends drive buys and guns shots in the middle of the night along with 2 bikes getting stolen 2 stereos getting stolen my dad's tools expensive tools for work getting stolen out of his truck twice and a mustang trying to be stolen twice. What is a white guy like me doing in the ghetto. I don't belong here, I need to get out of school get a job and get out of this area.
