Gambling

My wife and I went to Binion's Horseshoe Casino yesterday morning for the breakfast buffet and a bit of gambling while we digested. We each budgeted and dropped $30, but were able to play for a few hours off of that. We treat is as an entertainment expense (like going to the movies), so if we lose we're not upset. Back in my single and young days when I had a lot of disposable income, it was not uncommon for me to go and drop a couple/few hundred bucks every other weekend.

I went to a casino in Kansas City and lost six dollars. I felt that was enough gambling for me.

I thought they served free drinks...but they where charging.

I would have gambled more if they gave me free drinks. I would have felt like I was buying drinks with the opportunity to get my money back.

There's a couple states where you only have to be 18. I remember going to a Minnesota casino after a basketball camp my senior year of high school. Our coach didn't give a shit. lol
In Michigan the Indian Reservations are 18, but the Detroit casinos are 21, but you can just cross the border into Canada and go to the Windsor Casino which is 19, and the legal drinking age in Canada is 19.

No offense, but you would make a horrible gambler. The quality of tightwaddness that is an assett in everyday real life would give you ulcers while gambling. But you already know that I am sure.

I fare pretty well in blackjack.

But I never seen a table where you can bet $1 at a time. You have to bet $10 or so.

btw: total trip cost was $114. I opted for a smaller dinner and a breakfast over the more expensive dinner.

ME and the wife went to the Casino in CT last year, spent maybe $40 total between us and came home with about $38 so we were happy.. Just not something I find much enjoyment in..

I do buy scratch tickets every once in a while though, probably spend about $20 a year on those and win about $3 (average)

you only have to be 18/19 in Oklahoma, not real sure, but they dont serve alcohol.

we went to Choctaw or something like that. That place was depressing, i can only imagine how many millions upon millions upon millions of dollars have been lost there, and how many lives have been ruined due to that place.

and the people that were there were really trashy, there was even a guy in there wheeling around his mentally challenged child while he was gambling, the kid couldnt do anything on his/her own, and hes just making her sit there in this loud smoke filled enviroment that even i didnt like being in. And there were so many old lonely looking people, and fat people, it was sad.

but the waiter girls were teh hawttt, there was even a black chick i saw and was like omuhgawd id tickle the shit outa that.......

I gamble for the free beer. Getting smashed at a casino where you can smoke indoors with half nekkid waitresses is way cooler than spending the same amount of money at the store to buy a couple 12 packs and then just go home.
See, they didn't give me any booze of any kind. I am curious if it is that way in Kansas or wtf the deal was.

I would have happily gambled had they gave me some booze instead of charging me for it.

Yes. I went to Harrah's during USACi World Finals.

Good to know that is the only place. I thought they were discriminating against me or something. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif
