Gallbladder Surgery

Well went in today for consultation for surgery, only to be told by the doctor that I needed immediate surgery. He is seeing gallstones and thickening of the outer lining of my gallbladder. Wanted me to go in for surgery this Friday. But I held him off til the 11th.
Anyone else had this surgery?
I had this done and one of the worst experiences ever...Im lucky to still be alive...I still have nightmares about the cartilage crunching in my head when they rammed a large suction tube through my nose...then down my throat...it was 10 times worse that the worst sore throat I ever had...they kept me pumped with morphine to sleep through the pain...i sure hope yours goes better

My wife had stomach pains back in early 2013, took her to the ER and they put her in ICU for over a week. They did a CT scan and the doctor told me they had found a "mass" attached to her lower intestine, and that they would "save her". There wasnt any surgeon locally who could operate on it, so they sent her by ambulance 240 miles away to Stanford University Medical Center, where they put her back into the ICU and put her under the care of an Oncologist (cancer specialist) and did more scans. It turned out she had a gallstone the size of a small egg there, not cancer. They removed the stone after another week in Stanford's ICU, then released her to come home for a few weeks, after that time I had to drive her back to Stanford so the Oncologist (Dr. Visser) could remove the gallbladder. After another week and a half in the ICU she got to come home, with a colostomy bag attached to a hole in her stomach to drain the excess **** and stomach contents. She was that way for another near month before I could drive her back to Stanford to have the tube removed.

She's been fine ever since.

Its no fun, and I hope you have an easier time of it.

My wife had issues when she was younger and changed her diet... Still has her gallbladder and it still does its job in the body.... The fact that they say you have to is a simple lie there's ways to change your life style and eating habits that will promote gallbladder health

Also says avoid red meat and fast food.... Google foods that promote healthy gallbladder it's been 6 years since the doctors tried to tell my wife she had to have it removed or it would be fatal...

Seriously Anthony I know you gotta be in pain... Start taking several shots of organic apple cider vinegar throughout the day... **** tastes nasty but it really does work... If you start to feel better put that surgery off man it's not anything you actually need

I think a lot of surgeries are just rackets for doctors to get richer off your insurance monies....Doctor can make $50 by telling you what to eat or can make $50,000 by putting you under the knife..
