He needs to get a lawyer.....asap.
Laws today are different than they were even 5 years ago pertaining to child custody. The father has a lot more rights than they used to. Used to be if the mother wasn't deemed an unfit mother, they would get custody. Now, the court will actually look into it if both parents are fighting for custody.

And it sounds like he is the main sorce of income and all. So if I were him, I'd get a lawyer. Especially if he wants custody.

Whatever you do, don't go busting in like bank robbers and take the kid. The court won't look kindly on breaking restraining orders, etc...

He can file for emergency coustity. and yes, he can go to the house and start shit. or just call CPS and declare that the child may be abused or in damger and then once cps has the kid, he can use that emergency cousity order to claim the child from them and go straight to court and get that joint cousity or soul cousity established. When it come time to serve her, he can just do a public annoucment in the news paper, which is a form of notifacation, which is a justifiable way to serving a person. I do recall hearing that some law enforcement agencies issue papers that way and then when you dont show, they issue a warent. but anyhow. it's like that bro... Legally. we all know what can be done illegally too.
