Most people have enough sense to turn it down at a light or while riding through a residential area. But the assclowns that drive around fulltilt with no regard for the people around them make shit hard on everyone.
Impounding a vehicle for a loud stereo is absurd. If teenagers and 20somethings were riding around on Harleys with loud pipes everyone would be pissed about it. Most Harley and cruiser enthusiasts are 35 and older, that makes louds pipes on motorcycles acceptable. If we could get a few 40 year old soccermoms to turn their vans into bass machines we would have half a chance of avoiding this bullshit.
