While Im not praising him, Ross Perot received fully one quarter of the votes in 1992's election. Yet in 1996 when he ran again and federal money was handed out, he received less than 5% of the money, with the vast majority of the rest going to the Dems and Republicans. Hmmm.

Our political system ***** in this country, but until it changes (if it ever does), I'll be voting democrat. At least they seem to try to make this country better for everyone, while the Republicans try to make it better for only the richest 2% of Americans, usually at the expense of the rest.
I agree completely. People actually voted for jackasses like Ron Paul and John Boehner. Vote to get them out!

In a bit more serious note, don't confuse politicians with all smart people. You don't have a be a complete idiot who doesn't know **** (read: Palin, and usually most tea party candidates) to not be a politician.

Lets face it, much of the attacks on her are justified. She's made herself look pretty stupid, more than once. Those simplistic notes written on her hand in a major (televised) speech were the last straw. Not being able to name any supreme court decisions other than roe v wade in the Katie Couric was pretty bad too. She has terrible advisers, is ill prepared for many obvious situations she's put against, and she seems to have the intellectual flexibility of a piece of driftwood.
