Working for best buy blows. They make all the money, you get paid less that 10 an hour in most cases. Thats why rather than scheduling installs, i handed out my business card. LOL

haha this thread has made this idea seem really unappealing. the more i think on it, perhaps its not the best. just wanted to get paid a little more then minimum doing something i actually like while i'm still in school. rather not work for BB but it was the first thing that came to mind.

there aint no money to be made in car audio unless you are doing custom installs...and the most i have ever heard best buy paying an hour for an installer is 13 bucks an hour

Geek Squad has low standards. They require a degree for their PC Technicians and they cant even install a hard drive.

Do you really want to support a company with high rates and sub par standards?

If you enjoy doing installs I see no problem getting paid for doing what you like granted bestbuy does'nt pay the best atleast you'll be dealling with audio, just like with any company there are people that really know their stuff and people that are just plain stupid that give that give others a bad name, I would try to get a job there and work only once or twice a week just to get the discount
