I am currently running one to my type Rs at 1 ohm. Good amp but had to do the big three and add two batteries to keep my voltage up. I stay around 12.8-13 volts. Will probly change my alternator soon to.

i only am going to run in 2 ohms tho so that i get 1310 which would be perfect for my l5s

so basically just try it and if what the batteries go below around 13.2 upgrade the alt??? and i heard you have to buy both the batteries at the exact same time is that true?

its not too big of a problem til its dropping below 12.0 and then its really a problem below 11. with only 1310+ @ 2 ohms you might even get away with just the big three. I dont see a new alt being necessary with this power. and if you dont have the same two batts or a new and an old one then the batts may not charge evenly. having the same two batts is ideal, but not 100% necessary. my two batts are differnt...
