Fusion PP Cm65 vs Hertz HSK165

I'm sure lots of people are going to say its a given but I want to know from people who have heard both speakers first hand.

I have a set of Fusion PP CM65 and I was told before I bought them that they sound better then a LOT of speakers, but im thinking I may just have mine setup wrong because they dont sound that good at all.

I plan on buying a set of Hertz HSK165 since these aren't meeting my standards, the high's are ear peircing but its coming from the mid not the tweeter. Sounds really cluttered as well.

This speaker looks so **** beefy and is very heavy, im just wondering if it may be all looks, no go.

highs only coming from mid? sure you have them crossed properly? i only ask cause when i first dove into components i wasnt impressed at all with how my set sounded then i learned more about tuning and now they sound like night and day, much better. i heard set of the previous powerplants and they didnt sound terrible.... sounded pretty decent. hows the install? door deadened, tweeter position, power given to them?

ive never heard the hertz, but im going to go with the masses and say the given is the hertz are better but maybe you can get these sounding better with a little tweaking.

they may not be tuned correctly but people ive recently talked to regarding these speakers told me the sounds that i dislike, they dislike too

I literally have to skip through any metal songs on my ipod because it sounds like one big loud screeeeeeeeeeeeeach.
