Fusing?

How do guys that run multi kilowatt systems do the fusing for their systems? I was of the belief that the fusing you used at the battery had to equal the amount of fusing that is in your amplifiers?

I am about to be running two amplifiers that utilize 150 amps of fusing a piece for a total of 300 amps and then a smaller 4 channel amp that has 75 amps of fusing for a grand total of 375 amps. I already have a 300 amp ANL fuse under the hood at the battery, but won't my new setup cause the battery fuse to blow out???

No, that's a myth.

Fuse protection is not cumulative, it does not add up like that so there is no "grand total" of fusing.

You're working with current protection ratings, not current draw. Each fuse protects an single wire length or piece of equipment.
