Do you need to fuse between extra batteries in the back? I know it is good to have a fuse from the front battery to the back battery, but if you have 2 or more batts in the rear should i fuse in between them? if the answer is yes.... what if the length between the wire between the two rear batts is around 5 feet, should i fuse within 18" of both batteries? kinda like this....

/BATTERY\_____/fuse\________________________________/fuse\_____/BATTERY\

does putting multiple fuses hurt any power that you may receive?

If you have multiple batteries in the trunk, and they are directly next to eachother, then fusing is not necessary as the length of wire is only around 8" long.

In your case, because the length of wire between the batteries is 5 feet, then yes, fuse both ends of the + wire.
