You guys are silly. Take the fusing on your amp, divide that by 2. Divide that number by 2 and then add it to the number you got that from.

Example:

Amp = 120A

120/2 = 60

60/2 = 30

60+30 = 90

Use a 90A fuse

Also, rub your power wire down with cooking oil and it will increase the current and decrease the overall amperage. All the pros do it.

Just go to walmart and buy a 100a inline fuse for a couple bucks.. it'll work fine.

Now THAT'S funny. 4 AWG is rated for 95 amps. How you got so close with that formula is beyond me.

If the amp has an onboard fuse of 80 Amps, then the fuse on the power wire next to the battery should match the onboard fuse, 80 Amps.

Use the subwoofers to fuse your wire. It'll cancel any short circuit out and turn it into sound.

Battery + -->> woofers + -->> amp +

Battery - -->> woofers - -->> amp -

And go ask crutchfield, they'll agree if you buy the woofers from them.

Its called the National Electrical Code (NEC). 95 amps max enclosed (not free air) at 86 degrees F ambient. It goes down from there. Any further questions?
