Travel at a constant speed. Avoid stop and go traffic, if you see a red light don't stay on the gas until you're right at the light let off the gas and roll to the light. Don't jump on the gas when you're traveling from a light.

Get a motorcycle.

Swap out your current engine or car for a much smaller one, perhaps a 3 cylinder or maybe even two if possible.

Vote 3rd party.

Good Idea. I just got done building mine, just gotta polish her up and add a front brake...although I dont think mines gonna be too good on gas though...

Accelerate slow and avoid stopping completely if at all possible. Works well for me anyways.

Better than motorcycle ( for gas ) MOPED IT UP. Plus people on mopeds look really cool.

Yah, my 350 likes to drink the petro. I might buy a lil cavvy or something just to take me to school and back. One thing I was doing was starting to use cruise control, does that help out at all. Its a good thing we have developed fuel injected engines, I would have to see what a carburetor would be doing right now driving 70-100 miles a day.

Increasing tire pressure works really well ... Just don't overdo it ...

one good hot day and a disregarded speed bump spells

I did that last night when it was wet out and slid a corner and hit a rock and it poped my tire

But too much pressure is bad. You'll wear the center of the tire out faster than the outer edges so just be careful.
