FU 15 louder than SA-12?

Right now I have an SA-12 in a custom ported box built buy CSCStang powered by a Hifonics BRX 1100.1 wired to 1 ohm. Considering going with a FU 15 in a bigger box powered by the same amp. Will I gain much by doing this (louder)? Thanks fellas

Can you give us a little more information, like box specs and the vehicle? The FU and sundowns are both great subs so really all that can be said is you're going to be stepping up to a 15 so you will gain a slight amount of volume.

with the 15 you will be louder than that sa-12 for sure. and it will be louder on the lows if you build the proper box for it, proper airspace etc. I had a 15 in my corolla, took it out and threw a 12 in. sounds perfect and the bass can be heard clearer and sounds louder on the outside than the 15 did. maybe because theres not as much rattle with the 12? idk but yeah man go with the 15

Sorry the vehicle is a f150 standard cab. The box the 15 would go in would be about 3 cubic feet (no less than three, but less than 3.5) tuned to 30-32. Basically I don't want to spend my money on a bigger sub and bigger box if I'm not going to gain much

you'll gain more with a larger box than 3 cubes, 4 cubes would be better if you want to tune it that low imo

Going to be about the same as if you went to an SA-15. You decide.
