FT: Rf T30001BD

I've had this amp for a little while now and never have really used it to its full potential. I was driving 2 Power HX2's at 2ohms with it. Now I have a single FI BL 15" running at 4ohm. I would like to trade this amp for a Sundown SAZ-1500 amp.

I don't have the birth sheet for the amp anymore but I remember some of the #'s on it. 2ohm is ~2800watts, 1ohm is ~3900watts. I can't remember the rating at 4 ohm but according to the manual it's at least 1000watts.

The t20001 would work better for my setup but I have been using RF since '98. I want to explore other companies now...hence the reason I went from the Power HX2's to a FI BL. I hear good thing about Sundown and I would like to give them a try.

why not just wire it to 1 ohm and set gains to max out the sub? that way you dont loose a ****ing bomb *** amp that you can always use to upgrade in the future?

i mean with 3900w on tap, maxing out the bl would allow you to NEVER and i mean NEVER even be close to clipping the bl...

How long have you had this amp and what kind of condition is it in? Does it come with the bass knob?

I'll get pics this weekend. I work until 5pm during the week and its dark out by the time I am off.

Someone mentioned that I should maybe keep the amp and run the sub at 1ohm and be careful with the gains. I've thought about this but another reason for wanting a different amp is because this t30001 is so big. I think it's 33 inches by 12 inches. It takes up so much room.

I do realize some of you are a little leary about this whole trade. I am a new member on this forum. I normally am on ROE. I still am fairly new there but I did buy my BL from a member on ROE.

I ran it on 1 ohm with gains set at a tad more than 1/4 turn. I think I still have the bass knob, I'll have to look. The amp is 9/10 cosmeticall with a very small scratch on the edge but I have it turned 180 degrees from the normal position so you could barely see it. LMK when you get pics and if you prove to be legit I'll have pics ASAP.
