Like I posted in the other thread, in my setup I was hearing them scratch. But after examining them and talking to a few people who are more familiar w/ AQ, it was my setup that was the reason I was hearing it, my enclosure was too large and was tuned wayyyy too low. Many people have told me that this isnt unusual for the HDC3 line, they were never overpowered and all the coils read correct, no darkening of the coil on either and they are both perfect asthetically. The copper coil sub literally has 4 hours play on it.

They are priced that low because I need to move them and in the case there is something wrong w. them (which I don't think there is, 98% sure), whoever purchases them, they can have them reconed and still spend less than they would brand new from AQ.

Not at the moment, cash only as of now. I am starting up a new business venture and need to free up all the startup capital I can right now.

See there's the thing, that I don't know nor can garuntee. If it's that big of a deal for everyone, I will get the recones from DJ, recone them to new, and sell them at $250 each.

That's the reason I am selling them at the price I am. I know they still perform 100% and the coils are good. So I honestly ran out of conclusions for me hearing it, other than my enclosure size and tuning.

I am also willing to cut a deal if someone wants both AQ's.

7.3cf @ 32hz.

HDC3's really should be tuned low to mid 40 hz range

Yeah, it's sort of a ***** not knowing exactly why I was hearing it and after going over everything 6 or 7 times and speaking to quite a few people, all we could really point to was the enclosure. They were only fed around 1300w each and never warmed up on me once.
