Hey all I am swithching again --lol

so anyway I have a two week old MMATS SQ4150

4 channel amp

the specs on it

are 4x150 @ 4 ohm, 300x2@ 4 ohm bridges

I was running it active on my seas tweets, and XXX mids

and it is VERY CLEAN,and very lively

I am the only owner, first user!!!

I need to get a amp that has a quieter fan since my amps are stored inside my truck cabin

it has dual gains, high end toshiba outputs (if you ask MMats they will tell you these are the best outputs available on the market --their words not mine)

Id guess the actual power at about 175x4, but thats just based upon using so many amps

if I had a trunk there would be no way Id ever sell this, but I dont --lol

nice small foorprint, and it is the newer model with the flip up top so you can see the internals

here is the webpage

http://www.mmatsproaudio.com/sqamps.htm

there are no scrathces on the amp at all!!!

as the finish is really nice and I was really careful

I have all the orginal packing

my feedback

ebay: bigpoppatitan

heatware: amd4life

Ill post some pics when I get hoen timight (as im at work )

external and internals

email with any ???'s

oh yeah $400 shipped

wow. this amp must be a freckin monster. 150x4@4?! ****.

400 is a fair price i suppose.

why dont you switch the fan out for a quieter one? or mod it so it runs at 7v? (a little resistor inline with the fan's ground wire will do this)

1) the amp is rated at 150x4 @ 4 ohm, and I was running the rear channels at 2 ohm stereo for my mids (Re XXX mids 2 ohm)

I called MMats and they told me that their is some sort of internal circuitry that allows for it to keep the same fidelity and power even if you lower the impedance to 2 ohm stereo

most amps loose some SQ (but gain more power) once you run them down to 2 ohm

bridged the lowest it will go is 4 ohm, any lower than that mmats did not recommend

so 300x2 @ 4ohm bridged good enoguh for most subwoofers--lol

although this is a really clean amp that would almost be a waste unless you are running ahigh SQ xbl2 sub or something or Arc or IDv3

2) there is no onboard fuse, you have to run a inline fuse at the distro block

I use a 80A, but Mmats told me 60A would be fine since its rather effiecient--doenst draw alot of current at all

never benched it, but my truck is very sensitive to current hungry amps (since I run all A/B power), anything that drawas a ton of idle amps causes alternator noise, and with this amp I dont get any

3) as far as the fan goes, have any idea how to do that?? as I have changed computer internal fans, but never a amplifier, figured it be too difficult to risk the damage to the PCB

4) and oh its actually rather small in size //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif, if you look other amps that do the rated power (which arent very many) this one is the smallest hence why I bought it //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif and all I knwo is that MMATs stuff is waaay expensive

18.375 x 11.5 x 2.125

L x W x H

anyway I get off in a few so Ill have pics up then

more pics added for those who were interested

it now out of my truck in the original box

no scratches, no marks on the mounting tabs, no bent fins, absolutley MINT!!! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
