Up for sale is a Sony Mobile ES preamp/tuner head unit, model XR C900, new in box. The XR C900 has a reputation for being among the very best Sony cassette head units ever. This head unit is preamp only - outboard amplification is a requirement. The cassette player has both Dolby B & C. This was purchased new by my father earlier on in the previous decade. It was intended to be installed in one of his cars, but then decided against it (to keep the factory appearance in the dash). So, the Sony sat in a closet since then. This is a rare opportunity to purchase a new, pristine example of one of these units.
