Yeah, this is an old school amp right here. Powerhouse too. I bumped into a buddy of mine tonight, and he was playing his subs for me. We popped the trunk and I saw this amp, was pretty surprised. I thought I'd pass the word onto everyone. Looked to be in great shape. He told me I could have it for $450, but I can probably talk him down. If anyone is interested in this let me know, I will get pics of it and grab it from him. I know some of you are old amp collectors, just looking out.

Ha, no my friend wasn't running it at 1 ohm. He has it at 2. I'm just saying, in the past I have seen this amp do 1 ohm. After our w7 died, this amp was given to a friend who ran an idmax at 1 ohm for as long as I know. Thanks for the bump, though.

Anyhow, I appreciate you guys informing me on it's value. I don't want to get ripped on it. I'm just trying to pass the word on. If someone here tells me, sure I would take it for $300, then I'm going to approach my friend with $300 cash in hand and see what I can do. Some people find these things more valuable than others.

the POWER bd1000's were 1 ohm stable, the Punch bd1000's are 2 ohm stable, does he have a Power?

It was a Punch. I believe those were the one's that had the shiny black logo in the middle. I totally forgot they made two. Hm, now I can't remember if the Punch was the run I saw ran down to 1. I'm pretty sure it was, but personally, I wouldn't take my chances. If it's rated at 2, run it at 2. Good for all your dual voice coil 4 ohm speakers.

So what price should I aim for here. $275-$325?

The power series is newer, since he's saying it's old and could be considered an antique i went with the assumption that it was the punch series

I've seen a couple sell on ebay for 250-275 plus shipping, so you're about right.

I used both the newer power 1000bd and the 1001bd amps and neither were rated at 1ohm. the 1501 needed to be modified to do run lower than two ohm; would imagine you would need to do the same for the 1000.1 as well. Get a pic of it so we can see what amp it is. as I can't find any info on a 1000.1 on the rockford forum; at least not with the power BD series..
