just got it tonight at around 7p.m. eastern..it is brand new, never powered...but i just sold my last 2500d about 10 minutes ago so im thinking about doing a couple 15's...open to offers or possible trades for woofers.

If what they said about the alignment of the sub being fcked up in shipping is true...he should at least be able to get cost of shipping and a new woofer from UPS or fedex, if he got insurance...really stupid if he didnt.

I just dont think he did it intentionally, and im sure you are out to scam him...so it seems like you should both have to eat a little bit of it..no ones really at fault (except shipping company) so no one should have to eat the entire thing IMO

honestly i think the fair thing to do is just ship it back to him. He eats the shipping cost, and you eat the dead amp. If you try to keep it, or demand he pay for the amp..i think he would have recourse to slander your rep here. You're buying selling rep should mean more. How old and how much $ was the amp that burned up? Hopefully is wasn't very nice and didn't cost a lot.

see...i dont see that as being fair to me.....the amp was working fine on a set of P1 12's...it was a Boston GT 28...got it for around $350...i cant just eat the cost...and how could he slander my rep???..i have had countless good transactions...this time i got f*cked!..and yeah my buying/selling rep is important cause i dont plan on stopping anytime soon but there is only so much i can do..the amp was only used for less than 2 months total..still a mint amp...there isnt even a scratch on the case anywheres.

I dont think your shady...but i know if it was me..and i shipped the sub first and then got the response of 'your sub broke my amp, pay me $350 or you dont get anything' i would be talkin some mad shit about you for a long time..crapping on everything you posted.

Its not fair to you i know, but life just ain't fair sometimes. You gotta make a decision about what a spotless rep here is worth to you i guess. I honestly think the burden should be split about even...because neither one of you did anything wrong. Maybe he could just pay for a recone, including shipping. How much would that be?

i just think that since neither one did anything malicious or negligent that caused the amp or sub to be damaged...the Fair thing is to split the cost between the two of you and call it a day.

i see what your saying but id rather him talk shit about me than me be out $350 bucks...i just honestly cant afford to be out that much...and i wouldnt ask him for $350 for the amp, but make it right ya know...he should atleast be responsible for 1/2 of the amp...i mean i shouldnt even eat that much but what the f*ck else can i do???...im stuck in this situation.....but in all honesty.. my spotless rep here isnt worth $350 out of my pocket..thats almost a weeks worth of work.....and i have no idea about a recone.

well i dotn have a DMM but there was a loud scraping noise for about 3 seconds, and now the cone doesnt move at all....stiff as a board.

again i'm not saying its your fault but its ALWAYS a risk when buying through forums. if i was the seller i wouldn't pay for the amp at all. i might help out with the sub, but the amp i will refuse to pay for it.

shit i have to eat shipping cost on an amp i just got that didnt work correctly when it got here..have to pay to send it back to PG and hope they will accept the third party receipt (bought with one name & addy, shipped to a second name & addy and sent in for warranty by a third name & addy). If they wont repair it under warranty im out the repair cost as well. So im looking at the potential of just eating a few hundred myself. Cant really afford it...but you know what..i cant really afford this hobby in general..but i eat top ramen..try to get stuff cheap and hope it all works out...when it doesn't i just chalk it up to the game.

shipping costs is one thing....but im out more than just shipping costs if i do that.
