Sold FS: Precision Power

I'm taking offers for a PPI-PCX 2125 amp. It's in like new condition, one "scratch" on the top. It's about the diameter of the lead in a #2 Pencil.

The amp itself is silver, and is lastyears model. Looking for about 220+shipping, but i am willing to go lower if that price is unreasonable.

ratings all RMS: 500x1 @ 4 ohms, 250x2 @ 2 ohms, 125x2 @ 4 ohms.

In the manual, it says the PowerClass amps (which mine is) effectively double their RMS output in 4 ohm bridged mode (mine would be 1000w), and 2 ohm stereo mode. I think it is a crock of shit, but then again i've never had my amp benched.

so, if anybody is interested in a very high quality A/B amp for a SQ setup, then let me know. I have the original box, and manual.. so you can have it.

PPI is refering to doubling the 125w x 2 RMS rating which is 250w total watts.

Doubling that would be 500w. Which is what it puts out at 4 ohms bridged

and 2 ohms stereo. 250w x 2, 500w x 1

It's kinda mis-leading. Still an awesome amp though!

Yeah.. i thought it was misleading, i thought i had a 1000w amp for a week or so, and then i figured out it's a 500.. It sounds like a bigger amp though, i bet it's underrated.

also, selling an amp that doesn't put out over 1000 watts for 220 bucks is hard. But, it is a great amp and i paid much more for it (the 2x80 goes for like 400 bucks or something).

I wish i could sell my amp, but if i can't... I'll just end up putting it in one of my friends cars.. They've already got my Diamond Audio M5's.. LoL.

i don't have any of my own amp.. but i can probably get some. it looks exactly like the one on the PPI website.

The scratch is about center of the top of the amp, but it rubbed off so it looks like a black spot on the paint.. I'll Try and get pictures by tomorrow.
