I have another one for you guys! This time, it's a PG Tantrum 1200.1, no endcaps. This is class T goodness. That means this amp is super efficient. This one is in great condition both mechanically and cosmetically. What you see in the picture is what you get. Don't like my price, send me an offer or throw your trades up and we'll go from there. These are getting harder to find!!! $250 shipped within the US.

well I'm interested but everywhere I go I see 1-2ohm at 1200, and nothing ever says anything about 4ohm, except SE which is telling me 600. If you can find some better (credible)specs for me to look at and it is in fact 1200 at 4 ohm, I'd be pretty interested.

Sorry if I'm coming across as a pain, I just cant find a source that says 1200 at 4ohm

Shouldn't be that hard to find the REAL specs....this amp is NOT one ohm stable and it DOES INDEED do 1200+ wts between 2 and 4 ohms! I've had a few....one benched tested at 1536 wts at 2 ohms and 13xx at 4 ohms!!!!!!!! GOOBS of power at multiple ohm loads.....not many amps can do that. The jbl bp series amps come to mind when you say full power at multiple ohm levels.

Anyhow, bump for a nice amp priced very well! I've got one in a customers Excursions pushing a pair of FI Q 15's and it's //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/eek.gif.771b7a90cf45cabdc554ff1121c21c4a.gif:eek://content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/eek.gif.771b7a90cf45cabdc554ff1121c21c4a.gif! Almost unbearable!

This amp will do at least 1200 at 4 ohms. SE has the wrong info on it. Try to find an owners manual online if you don't believe me.

V, are you sure about it not being 1 ohm stable? I know it's not printed on paper but I've read numerous posts about guys running this at 1 ohm with no problem. Maybe that's after box rise?

on phoenix gold's website it puts out 1200 at 14.4 volts at 12.5 it only puts out 250...and peaks at 1400 at 14.4 volts..

....^^^what high end, nice amp actually has the right power ratings?!? The jbl bp 1200. is "rated" at 1200 but does close to 1400 wts, the ED 9.1 is "rated" at 1200 wts rms but does close to 1500 wts and the list goes on and on and on. Take a look at my post above to see what one of my Tantrums benched at.....

Well, actually, I did have a friend running his at 1.5 ohms and didn't have a single problem with it ever cutting out.... Guess it just all depends on how much power is on tap/electrical system. Me personally, I'd be scared to run it at 1 ohm even though, especially with PG saying it's not one ohm stable. But I don't see why you'd need it to be one ohm stable when the same sub you can run at 1 ohm you can run at 4?!?!?

oh i believe you. im not saying its not true. i've owned a few old school PG amps and they were way underrated. just never had one THAT underrated compared to what the stats were on paper. so if you say it puts that much out and you've benchtested em. i'm not gonna call you a liar or anything i'll believe you cause the old PG amps are definitely capable, but like i said i just never had one THAT underrated....
