HDS Tweets $120 shipped. OBO

Peerless 810921 ($78) - Also known as the new HDS tweeter. Peerless finally creates a world class tweeter to compete with the best from Seas and Scan-Speak. Very low distortion levels and smooth, controllable response. Minor FR dip at 6.5kHz. Beautiful cast metal frame. Reasonable price. There's not much to complain about here and this is one of the best in the group. Tested June 2006.

$78 for 1 at madisound. $120 for both is already a good price based off his reference.
Yes they are 78 each plus shipping from madisound.

Guys these are very good tweeters. Very airy and detailed. Oustanding vocals and more of a up front tweeter. I have mine off axis in the doors and have not heard a better tweeter in my truck. I have gone through 6-8 pairs of different tweeters and these by far were the best for my application. Many people that heard my system were very impressed with the HDS Tweeters and all peerless drivers.

What are you running now. Were these better than the XT25s? Also, which HDS mids ds I get?? I paid $32 each and have been pretty happy with them, even off my temp amp only

giving them about 40ish watts...

Both are great tweets, though I like the HDS a bit more. Xt25 of course does well on axis, but the HDS tweets are known to have good off axis response.

I'm not sure which mids you have.. AFter PE sold out of the HDS Nomex mids, they listed some odd looking mids (non-truncated) and called them HDS as well. I looked up the model number on Tymphany's website and didn't find them.

THESE

are the ones I got (truncated). 150wrms. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

what power were you giving these? and what is the cutout diameter?
No idea how much wattage was giving them.. along with all my other speakers.

I just had them off two of 4 channel of an old PPI PC 4 channel amp with gains on minimum. Efficient little buggers. They were just as loud when I tested 4 ohms tweets.

cutout = 79mm = 3.11"
