Selling a used Ohio Generator 185 Amp "hot" rated. Built to do a minimum of 185 amps and over 200 before it's hot. Should fit any Ford with the 4.0L V6.

Comes with External regulator.

Search the Feedback forum for references.

Looking for 260 shipped.

After Friday I won't have access to the web till Monday, so if you have questions please ask them now.

Pics can be seen here: http://s282.photobucket.com/albums/kk247/mcann_/

Not looking for trades.

This alt should pretty much fit any Ford built between 1992-2001 with a few exceptions.

It came off an SOHC 4.0 so it does fit that motor for sure.

The easiest thing to do is look at the case on the alt you have now and then look at the pics.

It's obvious whether it's the same or not.

Let me know if you have anymore questions.

will this fit a 94 ford aerostar with a 4.0L?

If it's a 4.0L it should fit no problem.

If you look at the pics in the link and then look at what you have now, the cases should be the same.

What kinda car did you have it on? I have an 04 explorer 4.0l v6
It was originally mounted on a SOHC 4.0L V6 in an explorer.

As I've said before, check the case that's currently on YOUR car and then look at the pics listed in the link.

It should be obvious whether or not it's the same. All 4.0L V6 should be the same but I can't guarantee it.

this is a ford 4g alt.. fits the v8 explorers and mountaineers as well.

one thing you should note is that the alt is setup for external regulator so some vehicles will have problems with a couple dash lights popping up...because of no longer being regulated by the vehicle. Not trying to dump but that is something people should be made aware of.

Nice alt for the price tho for sure. I just got my 250 amp ohio gen and the thing is a monster.

The external regulator is a little different than a normal alt in that at idle its basically off and then when the revs come up it controls that voltage.

That would be the dash lights dimming and brightening you referred to.

Thanks for bringing that up. It's a little different if you've never had one before.
